MEET THE TEAM

FOUNDER

Vicky

I have worked in the hair and beauty industry for over 25 years training as both a hairdresser and beauty therapist. I worked in a salon for several years and then I became a mobile therapist visiting peoples homes. I quickly became so busy I realised I needed a base and so ‘Salon Chique’ was born.

Nails is one of my favourite treatments and I have completed advanced training over the years with many nail brands but I have been lucky enough to now work for my favourite brand ever OPI and am currently their South East Education Centre and part of their award winning education team. I love doing crazy nail art on my clients to make their nails completely unique.

My other keen passion is skincare. I have trained with several brands over the years and have advanced training in CACI Non Surgical Facelifts, Skinbase IPL Laser hair removal, Microdermabrasion and Radio Frequency. I am also currently studying nutrition to include in my skincare services.

My favourite thing about Salon Chique is having a team that are passionate and creative which is lovely to be around and who make me laugh every day and the most amazing, supportive clients who let me share their lives.

HAIR

Jo

I love working at Salon Chique because of our amazing clients and my team mates that make it great to come to work. I have been working as a stylist now for 34 years and have never wanted to do anything else. I began my career at 16 as an apprentice and trained with a private academy in Hammersmith. I then worked in a salon just outside Canterbury where I went to Thanet College and completed my National Diploma in Hairdressing. I took time out to have my first baby and when she was two I went back to work. I came to Salon Chique 11 years ago where I have worked my way up to Salon Manager. I have completed many Loreal courses and recently completed a masters of balyage diploma. I love every aspect of my job especially cutting and colouring, but my passion is bridal hair and putting hair up. It is so amazing being part of someones special day.

Neil

I have been working at Salon Chique just over a year and love working with a team that is very talented and creative. They are happy to share their own knowledge with everyone in the team. I have been working in the industry for 30 plus years now. I have worked on shows like London fashion week, teaching around the country with Loreal, teaching with Toni and guy in their London academy. I have worked in places like the royal Albert hall and many other well known London venues on creative shows including headlining shows in Brixton academy with Redken. I love being able to help others succeed in the hair dressing industry.

Holly

My favourite thing about working at salon chique is meeting many new and interesting people, learning new skills and techniques, building my confidence and working as a team with my lovely colleagues. I have been qualified in hairdressing for a year now and am continuing to learn new things everyday. I started learning hairdressing at college where I trained for 3 years. Joining the salon in my final year for work experience I found a love for all things hair and beauty from visiting Salon Chique often as a child I loved watching and learning as much as I could whenever I was here, And would visit whenever I could. My passion is styling and colouring hair, I love creating new designs, trying new techniques and learning new things.

BEAUTY

Honey

My favourite thing about working at Salon Chique is my colleagues, I love coming to work and seeing my Salon Chique family. I've loved beauty all my life and wanted to pursue it as a career when I left school. In 2021 I enrolled at Canterbury college on a Level 2 Beauty course and completed 6 months of work experience at a family member's salon in Canterbury. Shortly after my work experience I attended an O.P.I gel course and Vicky was my educator. After my course, I saw Salon Chique were hiring for a Beauty Therapist and in July 2022 I started working part time while completing my level 3 beauty therapy. Since being at the salon I have competed in nail art competitions, joined Vicky working backstage at London Fashion Week with OPI. I have recently trained in CACI and it has become my current passion. I enjoy leading clients on their skincare journey, recommending products suitable for them and seeing their skin progress as the course goes on is always satisfying. Ultimately I love making our clients feel relaxed and comfortable whilst having a treatment with me.

I then trained for a year at Canterbury college then came back to Salon Chique for an apprenticeship to train in level 2. My passion is nails. I love doing nails especially nail art and try out new designs for clients.
